Tracemetrics: Biometrics of the Hand




Measurements

Below are the 15 measurements that are the initial subject of the Tracemetrics Project.

In a previous version of the course, students used a ruler to draw straight lines between the anchor points noted. Then, they used a ruler to measure (in tenths of an inch), the length of the noted line. More information on each measurement appears after the samples. In this project, you will want to compute these using the image process program.

Load the image (Example H below) into the Image processing software using the File --> Open command.
