Abstract

Implanted RFIDs can offer many worthy uses to society provided privacy enhancing technologies and policies can be developed to provide privacy protection for the problems they create. Not surprisingly, these are the very same problems society already faces in identity management; and currently, society has found few if any answers. Frankly, society barely understands the nature of the problems. In today's setting, implanted RFIDs may sound like a revolutionary step forward, but if implemented widely, they can exasperate problems. In this talk, real-world scenarios are explored.
