My primary research concern involves the development of algorithms that learn strategic and sensitive information typically across disparate, non-homogeneous data sources. I term these semantic learning algorithms.

A natural application area for this research is in privacy research, both in (1) determining the extent to which private information can be identified through systematizing facts and principles using generalized methods and semantic learning algorithms, and in (2) developing techniques, algorithms and technology to limit what can be learned and to sufficiently anonymize information and control data sharing.
