Face Book Project

Objective

The objective of this project is to provide a set of privacy guidelines for those who elect to share information on Face Book. While Face Book provides lots of services that students may find useful and entertaining, care must be taken to enjoy the benefits without suffering from long-term risks and penalities. It is very difficult for a student to know beforehand what those risks might be and what would be better practices. Our goal is to advise students on what information to share and how to share it on Face Book so that students may enjoy its benefits with minimal risk of personal harm.

This project builds on prior work in the Data Privacy Lab.
